Romain Febvre Battles Eye Injury to Race Second Moto at MXoN!

Romain Febvre showed incredible resilience at this year’s Motocross of Nations, despite suffering an eye injury during the first moto. Forced to race behind Eli Tomac without goggles, Febvre was close to overtaking the American in the final lap when a hit to his right eye left his vision impaired.

Uncertain if he could continue, Febvre nearly missed starting the second moto but pushed through the discomfort to support Team France. “I almost missed rolling in the second moto,” he admitted. Refusing to make excuses, he reflected on his day and helped his team secure a fifth-place finish.

Febvre said – “Today did not go as planned!
First moto was pretty good, riding was very good, came back 3rd with no googles! But hurt my eyes and could not see properly from right eye, but I took the start of the second moto, actually rode pretty good with a good speed but 3 laps to go I spine on took off and went almost over the bar.
I hit the handlebar and could not breath anymore so I had to go on the floor…
Shame because we could good on the podium.
Anyway, riding and speed was good!
Now it’s time to take some rest and be back 100% next season!
Thanks to the @ffmoto for the support and all the effort for make it happen on theses conditions! We did not took the trophy back home but will try again next time!
Thanks to @kawasakimxgp for the bike and support, bike felt good and many more things to come!”

Though Team France didn’t reach the podium, Febvre’s determination under difficult conditions was a testament to his dedication to both the sport and his country.
