The Tampa Supercross penalty report has been released, highlighting some notable incidents. In a controversial move, Daxton Bennick was docked 5 Championship points and handed a purse deduction equivalent to two positions. This penalty comes after Bennick was seen jumping on a red cross flag during the 250 Main Event, a violation that was mentioned during the broadcast.
In addition, Chase Sexton faced two penalties following the 450 Main Event at the Tampa Supercross. The first penalty was a fine for refusing a post-race interview, a standard procedure for riders after a race. The second penalty stemmed from a violation of the Supercross Code of Conduct, which occurred after the Main Event.
Earlier in the race, Sexton had been leading but crashed in the whoops section on lap 18, damaging his front brake and throttle. Despite the crash, he managed to finish fifth.
