Defending champions team USA, may not defend their title in 2023 Motocross of Nations at Ernee, France with Steve Matthes reporting that it’s 70/30 they won’t turn up!
Scuttlebutt from the track today is it's "70-30" that the USA does not send a MXDN team this year. Obstacles keep popping up

“Embarrassment” is the only word to describe the situation where both Lawrence brothers opt for Team USA alongside Roczen from Germany, while Ferrandis expresses frustration for not representing France, and Dean Ferris makes the journey from Australia. Surprisingly, even Canada is sending a team!
Team USA, boasting the largest budget, has no valid excuses, except, perhaps, the fear of losing. Speculations suggest Sexton may be out due to a team switch to KTM, which is reasonable. Additionally, Deegan reportedly chose Australian supercross over MXoN. Nevertheless, given that America is the premier motocross nation globally, it should not be excessively challenging to find two other capable riders.
Earlier this week, rumors indicated that Plessinger, Vohland, and RJ Hampshire were the penciled-in team members, which would still have been a formidable lineup. However, there is now speculation that one of the riders may have withdrawn!”
