Ty Masterpool had a challenging outing at Round 2 of the San Diego Supercross after stepping up to replace Levi Kitchen on the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team. Known primarily as an outdoor specialist, Supercross remains a learning curve for the determined rider.
During the 250 Main Event, Masterpool suffered a heavy crash after overjumping a section, resulting in a tough setback. Steve Matthes later confirmed that Ty sustained multiple broken fingers in the crash.
Given that Masterpool isn’t chasing a championship in Supercross, the decision has been made for him to sit out the upcoming rounds to focus on recovery and preparation for the outdoor season. On Race Day Live, Masterpool shared that his ultimate goal for 2025 is to contend for the Outdoor title, a dream he’s committed to pursuing.
Also Masterpool broke some fingers or a finger in his crash. Bummer
