It’s been 1,282 days since Blake Baggett has ridden a dirt bike. That’s his count, not ours. For us it seems even longer.
Upon reflection, Blake Baggett didn’t officially retire from racing; he simply vanished after the 2020 season. This disappearance is typical of Baggett, who has always followed his own path, leaving others guessing about his next move. Adding to the intrigue, Baggett had a strong final season in 2020, winning a moto at RedBud and challenging Adam Cianciarulo for overall wins. Surprisingly, Baggett’s RedBud victory remains the most recent AMA Pro Motocross 450 class moto win for KTM. However, his season ended abruptly due to a wrist injury, after which he disappeared from the racing scene.
