The 450 class has a lot of riders this year who can grab a win. With five champions and multiple race winners on the track, the season is shaping up to be one of the best that we have seen in a while. Jett Lawrence is the raining champion and was second fastest in qualifying behind former champion Eli Tomac. Of course, riders like Ken Roczen, Chase Sexton, and Aaron Plessinger all want in on the action.
During the 450SX Main Event at Anaheim 1, Eli Tomac took an early lead but crashed on the slick track surface, losing control of his front end. As Tomac went down, Jorge Prado skillfully avoided him, but Chase Sexton, following closely, ran over Tomac. While it was tight racing, Sexton appeared to have a chance to avoid the collision. Despite the incident, Tomac escaped unscathed, remounted, and impressively finished fifth. Sexton capitalized on the moment, taking the lead and holding it to claim his first Anaheim 1 victory.
