A crash in race one at Washougal National sidelined Tom Vialle for the remainder of the weekend in round eight of Pro Motocross, with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider avoiding any ‘major damage’ in the incident.
With six race podiums and an overall victory at Southwick during his debut 250MX season, Vialle has been making a mark. Despite facing misfortune earlier at Thunder Valley, he entered Washougal in the title-race and managed to secure the seventh position. However, his chances took a hit as he had a disappointing 14th overall qualifying position on Saturday. To make matters worse, he suffered a crash during the opening race, which effectively ruled him out for the rest of the round.
Expressing his disappointment, Vialle mentioned that though he didn’t sustain major injuries, the crash took a toll on him, making it impossible to participate in the second moto. Fortunately, he sees a silver lining with the two-weekend break ahead, providing him ample time to recover before looking forward to the upcoming Unadilla event.
The 2023 Pro Motocross Championship will resume on 12th August at Unadilla, where Vialle will compete with three rounds remaining. As of now, he holds the eighth position in the 250MX standings.
