In the second main event, Vince Friese stirred up more controversy by colliding with Joey Savatgy. This incident occurred just as Savatgy and Roczen were tied in points for the WSX title. Roczen had secured victory in the first race, with Savatgy finishing third.
Savatgy had maneuvered to pass Roczen in turn one, but Friese replicated a similar move with more aggression, causing Savatgy to crash by targeting his front wheel.
Initially, Friese took the lead but was eventually overtaken by Aranda and then Roczen. He slipped back to eighth, visibly concerned about potential damage to his back wheel resulting from the earlier collision. Savatgy struggled to recover, finishing only in 11th place, while Roczen emerged victorious, regaining control of the series with one main event left to go.
