The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship enters its final stretch, heading east for the last three rounds of the season. Round 18 takes place at the Afyon Motor Sports Center, host of the MXGP of Türkiye.
The title fight is tightening. Red plate holder Romain Febvre saw his lead over rising star Lucas Coenen cut back in the previous round. While the Belgian teenager has momentum—and a win here in MX2 last year—the Frenchman will aim to repeat his past victories in Türkiye to keep control of the championship. Adding to the drama, five-time World Champions Jeffrey Herlings and Tim Gajser, who dominated the first six GPs at this circuit, remain dangerous contenders.
In MX2, the battle is equally fierce. Championship leader Simon Längenfelder had his advantage reduced in the Netherlands. Defending champion Kay de Wolf is now closing in, while former champion Andrea Adamo will be looking for redemption at a venue that has historically challenged him.
