The fifteenth round of the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship is arriving in Uddevalla this weekend for the MXGP of Sweden.
When you enter the enclosure of the Uddevalla track, you can’t help but have a thought for the local legend Sten Lundin. Between 1955 and 1966, the 2-time World Champion fought valiantly to shine in front of Uddevalla fans, which he managed to do once in August 1958 winning the Grand Prix in the GP 500 class. Sixty-five years later, the rich heritage left by this immense rider should not leave Swedish youth indifferent, composed in particular of Isak Gifting but also Alvin Östlund who will certainly have in mind to imitate their illustrious predecessor, especially for the 25th event on this Swedish soil.
