The 2024 Southwick National was round five of the Pro Motocross series, and we have some interesting drama ongoing with the Star Racing Yamaha bikes. First, in the 250 Qualifying 1 Session, two of the Star Yamaha bikes, Max Anstie and Daxton Bennick, lost their fast laps for failing the sound check. Later, in the 250 Moto 2, Jordon Smith was penalized after the race. Smith, frustrated, wrote on social media, “First person in history to get penalized for sound after the race, I think.” We also heard some rumors about Haiden Deegan. After finishing second in 250 Moto 2 and taking the overall win, Haiden’s Star bike blew up just before the sound check after the race. We clearly saw on live coverage that in the last few laps, Deegan had some problems with his bike smoking. So, is it a coincidence or what?
Jordon Smith penalized for sound after Moto 2. What was up with the sound checks this weekend & plenty of people failing? Weird
