At 26, Chase Sexton is hitting the reset button on his career after a tough 2025 season marked by mental struggles and tension with KTM. Despite back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024, he says it’s time to “find that teenage version” of himself and rediscover the fun in riding.
Sexton joined KTM in 2024 aiming to follow the legacy of Dungey and Webb, and though he earned wins and a title, the partnership eventually soured. “Roger and Ian helped me a lot, but sometimes personalities don’t mesh,” he admitted. “It wasn’t easy, but I owed it to myself to make a change.”
Still hungry for more championships, Sexton says his focus now is on staying true to who he is — both as a racer and a role model. “Winning is what I get paid to do, but being someone people can look up to is just as important.”
