In Moto 1 of the 250cc class at Budds Creek, rising Canadian motocross talent Cole Pranger made his Pro Motocross debut — but it was unfortunately cut short. The race was red-flagged on Lap 2 following a crash involving Pranger, which forced a full restart of the moto.
According to Direct Motocross, the incident resulted in a broken right femur for the #613 rider. Despite the injury, Pranger remained upbeat, saying, “Still pumped I got in!” — showing true grit and the classic spirit of a motocrosser.
Pranger is set to undergo surgery on Sunday and will begin his recovery immediately. While his debut didn’t go as planned, the fact that he qualified and lined up at an AMA Pro Motocross National is a huge milestone in itself.
