Dylan Ferrandis never got a chance to defend his 450 MX title. The Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha rider entered the summer as one of the favorites in the premier class until a small crash during the preseason media day destroyed all of the ligaments in his left thumb and required immediate surgery. Now fully recovered and ready, Ferrandis is set to line up for the final four rounds of the series, starting this weekend at Unadilla.
