Haiden Deegan has released a season wrap-up video where he reflected on a year packed with highs, challenges, and momentum-shifting moments. The 18-year-old Star Racing Yamaha rider ticked off his biggest goal of 2024—winning the 250 West Coast Supercross Championship after back-to-back runner-up finishes.
He followed that up outdoors by defending his Pro Motocross title with remarkable consistency, finishing outside the top two in only a pair of motos. A crash at RedBud delayed his championship celebrations, but Deegan still secured the crown, calling it “one of the most consistent seasons” of his career.
The SMX playoffs brought controversy and headlines, with Deegan’s aggressive “cat and mouse” strategy in Vegas sparking debate across the sport. While critics called it reckless, he insists it was about making racing entertaining and bringing new fans into motocross, comparing his role to what Jake Paul has done for boxing.
Now, Deegan’s sights are locked on the 450 class in 2025, a move he admits came quicker than expected: “It’s crazy to think at 19 I’ll already be on a 450, but my goals are big. I want to achieve great things in the premier class.”
Deegan also revealed offseason plans that include racing the World Supercross in Argentina and possibly an Australian appearance, while emphasizing his long-term mission: to elevate motocross, attract new fans, and ensure riders across the field can make a living from the sport.
