Ian Harrison on Chase Sexton – “It Was Nothing to do With a Mechanic.”

    By DirtbikeLoverAugust 10, 2025No Comments1 Min Read

Being the team manager of an SMX World Championship squad is no easy task, with such highs and lows from one side of the rig to another. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing experienced that at the ninth stop of 2025 Pro Motocross, Ironman, as Chase Sexton had one of his best rides en route to a win in moto one. It was accomplished in emphatic style and set the tone for moto two, where he was a clear favorite to win the overall. The second moto ended in dramatic fashion, however, and Ian Harrison (team manager of KTM’s effort) reflected on all that happened in this exclusive interview with Vital MX’s Lewis Phillips. Filmed in the wake of the event, Harrison shared his perspective and the information that was available ahead of the squad’s post-race debrief. It was an honest assessment and one that sheds light on the events.
