Jo Shimoda on St. Louis SMX – Fever, Sweat and Headache Won’t Stop Me!

    By DirtbikeLoverSeptember 14, 2025No Comments1 Min Read

Honda HRC Jo Shimoda pulled off a gutsy win last night at St. Louis SMX, grabbing the 250 overall despite feeling far from his best. He battled through fever, heat, and energy crashes but leaned on his experience and grit to survive the motos and come out on top.

    As Shimoda put it:

“Very stressful day yesterday, I couldn’t perform at my best due to fever so I had to manage and survive. Thought I was racing in sauna, head ache, sweating so much, no energy, but still needed jacket to wear😂 Anyway let’s get healthy, and thank you people!”

It wasn’t pretty, but it was real — and sometimes that’s enough to win.
