Levi Kitchen on St. Louis – “There’s a Lot of Money on the Line”

    By DirtbikeLoverSeptember 15, 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Levi Kitchen’s night was filled with drama and heavy consequences. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider went down in a start crash during practice, leaving him sore but determined to line up for the night program.

The biggest moment came in Moto 2, when Kitchen made an aggressive move on Haiden Deegan. The contact sent both riders to the ground, leaving Deegan’s front brake damaged and forcing him to fight through the pack. He could only salvage 14th, a result that shook up the 250cc championship standings and opened the door for rivals heading into the Las Vegas finale.

Kitchen, meanwhile, was left frustrated knowing what a podium could have meant for his own playoff hopes. After the race, he shared his perspective:

“I’m thankful to be healthy after the start crash in practice — just pretty sore. As far as the incident in Moto 2, there’s a lot of money on the line. If I had stayed up and grabbed a podium, I’d still be right in this fight with a big opportunity in Vegas. Love me or hate me, I’m racing for myself — and only myself. Thanks to the people who support me. See you in Vegas.”

With Las Vegas now the deciding round of the SuperMotocross World Championship, Kitchen will look to put the St. Louis drama behind him and finish the season strong — while Deegan will be fighting to regain ground in the title chase.
