Michael Mosiman has shared a health update following his crash at the Unadilla National on August 18. The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha rider revealed he suffered a moderate concussion, a black eye, stitches under his eyebrow, and knee contusions.
“All in all I’m doing quite good — beat up but not broken. Years ago this would’ve broken me both physically and mentally, but I’ve become much stronger and more resilient,” Mosiman said, thanking fans for their prayers and support.
The crash happened early in Moto 1, just before the Skyshot tabletop, after Mosiman had qualified 10th overall. The impact forced him out of the race, but he remains 10th in both the AMA Pro Motocross 250 standings and the SMX World Championship Playoffs.
This comes just a week after aggravating an ankle injury at the Ironman National, showing the resilience Mosiman is talking about as he continues to battle through a tough stretch of the season.
