The 2026 Silly Season rumors are already heating up – according to journalist Lewis Phillips, two-time MX2 World Champion Tom Vialle is planning a major career shift. Vialle reportedly does not want to continue racing AMA Supercross in the 450 class and is instead set to rejoin MXGP with Honda HRC for 2026 and beyond. The French rider has shown impressive progress in the U.S., capturing back-to-back AMA 250SX East Championships in 2024 and 2025. Despite his rapid rise in Supercross, Vialle appears to favor the MXGP format and is expected to return to Europe for the next chapter of his career.
KTM is making major moves of their own, reportedly signing Eli Tomac for the 2026 and 2027 Season. His rumored move to KTM signals a big final push before potential retirement. With Tomac in the mix, KTM’s 450 lineup would also include Aaron Plessinger, who has had one of his most consistent seasons to date. In 2024 and 2025, Plessinger was a regular podium contender and played a pivotal role in Team USA’s MXoN efforts.
Meanwhile, within the KTM Group’s 250 plans, rising star Kay de Wolf is expected to make his U.S. Supercross debut. The Dutchman, who has been a top contender in MX2 and even won the 2024 MX2 World Championship, is reportedly set to race 250SX in the AMA series for 2026 under the KTM banner. With his raw speed and aggressive style, De Wolf’s transition to Supercross will be one of the most closely watched rookie campaigns in years.
I dismissed it at first, but there are some persistent rumors about Tom signing with HRC in MXGP.
